Bibione has a hidden treasure: the Punta Tagliamento lighthouse. This imposing monument, symbol of the Veneto coast, becomes the protagonist of a unique initiative of its kind: “The Bibione lighthouse at nightfall”. Two evenings, on 1st and 22nd August 2024, to immerse yourself in a magical atmosphere and discover the rich biodiversity that surrounds this fascinating place.

Thursday, 1st August from 6 to 8 pm

Introducing nocturnal raptors: come with your family and meet the inhabitants of the night skies

A fascinating experience for adults and children. You will be able to observe owls, little owls and other nocturnal birds of prey up close, admiring their unique characteristics and learning about their habits. Expert naturalists will be available to answer all your questions and reveal the secrets of these extraordinary predators of the night.

The event is free to enter and reservations are not required.

Thursday, 22nd August from 9 to 10:30 pm

A guided walk tour with a naturalist to discover the ecosystem of the Tagliamento River’s mouth and the Adriatic coast.

An evening nature walk lasting an hour and a half starting from the Punta Tagliamento lighthouse to the mouth of the Tagliamento river, passing through the surrounding pine forest and admiring the splendid night view of the Adriatic Sea, treading the soft sand of the Bibione beach.

Available in both Italian and English.

Pay attention: you need to bring your own flashlight with spare batteries, mosquito spray and wear comfortable trainers for walking on dirt or sandy beaches.

Participation is free upon reservation – max 30 people.

Please remember that the lighthouse can only be reached on foot or by bicycle starting from any point of the cycle/pedestrian path on the seafront that connects it to Bibione Pineda. For those who want to go on foot, the closest parking places are in via Procione or Piazzale Zenith.
