The now characteristic non-competitive walk “A Piedi per Bibione” starts on Monday, 1st May 2023. It’s a meeting dedicated to all those (individuals, groups and families) who, through various routes, want to rediscover the territory of our tourist resort. As Mother Teresa of Calcutta said, “When you cannot walk fast, walk. / When you can’t walk, use the stick. / But never hold back!”
The event reaches its 45th edition in 2023 and this year there is an air of novelty! In fact, the departure is scheduled from 8:30 am (then, until 10 am free departure) from Piazzale Zenith – instead of from Piazza Mercato – in any weather condition, with routes of 6, 11, 14, 22 and 27 km with refreshment points; participation is upon payment.
In the same frame it will be possible on Saturday, 29th and Sunday, 30th April to explore the permanent paths of 6, 11, 16 and 24 km with refreshment points from 8 am to 5 pm; the first path of 6 km is entirely on asphalted terrain or porphyry and is suitable also for strollers and disabled people. An alternative route for 11 km has been equipped entirely on asphalt and dirt (with some small sandy stretches) also suitable for bicycles and prams with companions. The other routes wind along tree-lined roads, inside pine forests and private properties).
There are prizes for the largest groups and promotional gifts.
During the sports days, some stands will be set up to advertise Bibione’s asparagus, with an expert who will explain its history, cultivation, use in the kitchen and conservation in jars.
