Val Grande

An enchanting natural oasis just a step away from Bibione, where a reach flora and plenty of
protected species tell us about ancient stories.

Between water and nature: a true naturalistic experience in Bibione

Val Grande is a natural area situated on the northern edge of Bibione, where time stands still and nature
takes over. This lagoon area, originally a fishing valley, is now an oasis of beauty and stillness open to the
public. This protected area can be explored thanks to guided tours and self-guided excursions; in addition,
starting from next autumn, new educational programs will be rolled out for schools.

Reaching Val Grande means crossing the threshold of a different world, where the meeting between earth,
sky and water offers breathtaking landscapes. In just a few minutes, the fast paced tourist life gives way
to silent and enchanting landscapes of salt marshes and islets, where you will enjoy yourself while
watching nesting birds, turtles diving into ponds and horses galloping freely amongst century-old trees.
