Bibione is preparing to once again welcome one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year: the AeQuilibrium Beach Volley Marathon®, the largest open Beach Volleyball tournament in the world.
On the dates of
- 16-17-18 May and
- 19-20-21 September 2025
the beach of our seaside resort will be transformed into a real battlefield for beach volleyball enthusiasts from all over the world: an event that never stops growing and attracts more and more fans, from great champions to amateurs, from all over Europe, but also from the Americas, Africa, Australia, China and Japan
For the new 2025 edition up to 300 playgrounds will be set up over a surface area of 120,000 square meters of sandy shoreline in front of the Villaggio Turistico Internazionale, on which to play simultaneously: in three days, over 10,000 matches will be played non-stop, from morning to night, in the sun or in the rain, with amateurs of all levels who will have the opportunity to face real champions of the discipline, usually engaged in the Italian Beach Volleyball Championship or in the FIVB World Pro Tour world circuit.
As usual, teams of each level can participate to the Beach Volley Marathon® and they will be divided into the following playing categories:
- 2×2 male, female and mixed
- 3×3 male and female,
- 4×4 mixed (i.e. two men and two women).
Also reconfirmed for 2025, in the May appointment, the only Italian stage of the International Beach ParaVolley Championship (Sitting and Standing), a candidate discipline for the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games, during which international teams made up of players with motor disabilities will compete in 3vs3.
On the sidelines every year, as testimonials and exceptional fans, very famous names of Italian volleyball (just think that in 2024 there were the Italian national volleyball team and Olympic champions Anna Danesi, Monica De Gennaro and the former world champion, Francesca Piccinini).
But Beach Volley Marathon is not just a sports competition, but a real event that involves the entire community. At the Sponsor Village there will be not only the playing fields but also exhibition stands, areas to enjoy the sports and musical activities, equipped areas for the pressroom and the mobile television direction and various gastronomic kiosks available to participants for the duration of the event.
Also not to be missed are the numerous side events such as the evening parties on the beach (reserved for adult participants of the sporting event, registered as an “Athletes” or as a “Non-Athletes”), the “Notte Bianca” (=white night) with events and entertainment in the various venues in Bibione that will remain open until late at night for the occasion and, on Thursday, 15th May from 10 pm to midnight, the welcome party with live music for singing and dancing in one of the coolest locations in Bibione.
The atmosphere will therefore be that of a great party, where sport, music and fun blend into a single unforgettable experience.
