The Lighthouse and the mouth of the Tagliamento River

A loop through the pine forest east of Bibione, to discover an intact natural oasis, good for expert cyclists with mountain bikes. This route winds through the fossil dunes along the sea and the shores of the river covered with wild vegetation, penetrating the thick pines that between March and May reward you with spectacular springtime flowers. You may also see representatives of the local fauna like birds, lizards and the occasional tortoise.

As of this year, the Lighthouse area is accessible both via an easy, shaded bike path through an agricultural area, or taking a new bike path created between the beach and the pines along a dune; leaving from Via Procione, you can get to the Lighthouse while admiring the sea and its horizon up to the easternmost end of the Bibione beach, bordering the mouth of the Tagliamento, framed by the fresh and salt water.
