Venetian coastline and the casoni of Prati Nuovi

From the access bridge to Bibione to the west, you bicycle along a street between the Venetian coastline and the uncontaminated lagoon habitats of ValGrande and Vallesina on one side, and on the other side the fields and rice paddies of Terzo Bacino and its history of farming culture that continues to this day.

The route continues through open countryside dotted with cottages, quiet and peaceful all year. This route is equally good for casual cyclists or experts with mountain bikes. In summer, you should avoid cycling here during the hottest parts of the day.

To see the historic fishermen’s casoni, continue towards Prati Nuovi on the dirt road: you will get to the bank that separates the land from the lagoon.
